I received a phone from NTUC this morning around 8 am. I didn't answer it as i was very sleepy. My mother went to answered it. I was lying on my bed for awhile and when i woke up, she told that there is a call from NTUC. First thing came to my mind was the missing 200 bucks claimed to be missing. I went down to NTUC after i brushed and changed my clothes. It was not about the missing money, it's my friend Zhi Yuan. He was late for work. I checked my phone for message. I saw Li He's message asking me to call Zhi Yuan. I was still sleeping then when i received her message. When i reached there, Zhi Yuan was there but i didn't see Gladdys. She was supposed to work in the morning. Then Zhi Yuan told me that i may have to replace Gladdys. I was rushing at the start of work. I don't know why though. The float i get today gave me a freaking hard time. It had freaking lots of bags of coin. Still, it short of 30 cents. During work, i saw some of my friends from primary school and secondary school. I can hardly recognize my primary school. She looked different from last time though her face look familiar to me. I was having my lunch when i saw my secondary school friend. She appeared to have been to the Serangoon CC. Again, i was at counter 1. Somehow, i am kind of assigned to counter one most of the time. There is an auntie who is kind to treat my friends and i to drinks last time when we were studying at void decks for O Level Exam. I think in my shift, i was the youngest and i am the only male around as cashier. It was nearly flawless at work today except for some price error. I charged a customer 4 bottles of milk when he bought 2 bottles of milk. He realized and told me. I called Adin, he asked me why i go key in 4 bottles instead of 2. I replied him major eye problem i guess. Some of the prices seemed to misled the customers. Some prices are misinterpreted or the customer don't understand/can't read them. There was one exchange today. Zhi Yuan almost forget to give a customer her change. That customer actually came up to me. Luckily, Zhi Yuan was still around. The problem was settled. Gladdys did not work today when she was supposed to work. Wen Hui came to replaced her. Gladdys was supposed to work afternoon then. But Karen called her and said that she need not come as Karen given her off for today.Gladdys came and bought some stuff(maybe not some) and she forgot to bring her own bag. I was warned before if i ever want to give plastic bags to staff, i am at my own risk. Still, i gave her the bags. I mean she bought a lot of stuff and you expect her to carry all back with her hands. At least i have a reason so i should not be in any trouble i guess. I closed my counter at 9 plus. I thought it will balance. I guess not everyday is Sunday. It did not balance and i excess of 2 bucks ==lll. Stupid 2 bucks spoil everything. When i count the float, i had only one packet of coins worth 20 bucks. The rest of the 180 bucks was unopened coins. The next person gets my float is sure very lucky and will have easy life.
Things started looking good. Will this remain the same for the rest of the days? Flame of confidence is strong and still fueling the flame to keep it going. I found my motivation to preserve and to against all odds....
